MATERIALS RECOVERY FACILITY

MATERIALS RECOVERY FACILITY – Through the initiative of Rizal Governor Nini Ynares, the provincial government opens its MRF at the Ynares Center Complex that will receive, separate and prepare recyclable materials for marketing. Inspired by the YES Program, the provincial MRF is teeming with plants and seedlings to be used for tree planting activities.

THE BEST OF YES RECYCLED CHRISTMAS TREE – Binangonan Mayor Cesar Ynares receives the symbolic key from Board Member Ato Bernardo of the First District, representing Rizal Governor Nini Ynares, during awarding ceremonies of the Recycled Christmas Tree Contest under the YES Program. The Municipality of Binangonan emerged No. 1 in the said contest and received one garbage truck and 100 monoblock chairs.

YES RECYCLED CHRISTMAS TREE WINNER – Board Member Rommel Ayuson of the Second District, representing Governor Nini Ynares, congratulates San Mateo Mayor Cristina Diaz, during awarding ceremonies of the Recycled Christmas Tree Decoration Contest. The town of San Mateo placed third in the annual contest and received one garbage truck and 100 monoblock chairs. The contest is under the YES Program of Gov. YES RECYCLED MUNICIPAL FAÇADE CHRISTMAS DÉCOR CHAMPION – Cardona Mayor Bernardo San Juan, Jr. receives the symbolic key from Board Member Olivia De Leon of the Second District, representing Rizal Governor Nini Ynares, during awarding ceremonies of the Belen and Municipal Façade Decoration Contest under the YES Program. Cardona grabbed the top spot in the said contest and received one unit of YES patrol motorcycle, three YES motorcycles,and 100 monoblock chairs. The annual contest promotes the use of recycled materials such as plastic spoons, rubber tires, papers, etc.

Rain or Shine, Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares led the Recycled Christmas Tree, Municipal Hall and Belen lighting in the municipality of Baras. The lady governor welcomed by Baras Mayor Kathrine Robles, Vice-Mayor Wilfredo Robles and the municipal councilors.

Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares continues to make rounds on the different municipalities in the province to lead the lighting ceremonies of Recycled Christmas Tree and Municipal facade. The program has been running for three consecutive years now and is fully supported by all the 14 local government units of the province. Tanay Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco, Vice-Mayor Jaime Vista and the municipal councilors welcomed the governor.

RECYCLED CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING – Rizal Gov. GRAND LAUNCHING OF OPLAN BUSILAK, YES 3rd ANNIVERSARY

YES 3RD ANNIVERSARY – Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares led in the celebrations of the 3rd Anniversary of YES TO GREEN PROGRAM at the Ynares Center. The affair also launched OPLAN BUSILAK (BUhayin Sapa Ilog Lawa At Karagatan) which aims to mitigate the effects of flooding and spread of diseases. The YES Awards were also given to outstanding barangays, municipalities/city which performed well in the various environment-related categories. The local chief executives of the province along with the 188 barangay captains and their councils, the private companies and groups, the academe, NGOs and other line agencies attended the celebration.

OPLAN BUSILAK LAUNCHING - Angono Rizal

OPLAN BUSILAK LAUNCHING – Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares and Angono Mayor Gerry Calderon led the launching of OPLAN BUSILAK (BUhayin Sapa Ilog Lawa at Karagatan) at Eco Park, Lakeside Angono, Rizal. The bokashi balls, a technology from Japan, were used to clean the waters of the Eco Park. Lafarge and Manila Water are some of the private companies that joined the volunteer work to clean rivers, creeks and other water tributaries in the municipality which aims to help mitigate the effects of flooding.

TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY

Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares, together with Tanay Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco and other chief executives of the province led the major tree-planting activity at YES City, Brgy. Cuyambay, Tanay, Rizal. A total of 5,000 bamboo saplings were planted at the foot hills of Sierra Madre by more that 3,000 individuals from public and private organizations who braved the cold weather, intermittent rains and muddy earth.

MECHANICS:
1. This event is open to all Rizaleno amateur artists/individuals/group of 5 people ages 18 years old and above. 
2. There is NO registration fee.
3. The theme for this painting contest is Environment: AIR such as sun, moon, birds, stars and wind, LAND such as flowers, trees, land, chateau, mountains, fields, and land animals, and WATER such as corals, sea, fish, boat and aqua marine life.
4. The participants must use 4x8 canvass. Each participant may use either oil or acrylic paint.
5. Each participant must submit their FINISHED entries together with barangay certificate at the Provincial Information Office, 2nd floor, Rizal Provincial Capitol Building, Ynares Center Complex, Circumferential Road, Brgy. San Roque, Antipolo City, Rizal. This is NOT on-the-spot painting contest. 
6. Only one entry per individual/group is allowed. 
7. Deadline of submission of entries is strictly on September 16, 2016, 5:00 in the afternoon. No extension will be allowed.
8. A small mark indicating the name/names of the artist/artists shall be signed at the LOWER LEFT of the canvass.
9. The judges will choose top 3 winners who shall receive the major prizes. They will also choose remaining top 10 participants to be given the consolation prizes. Winners will receive cash prizes.

OPLAN BRODCASTREEING 2016

The provincial government of Rizal, represented by Provincial Administrator Joseph Ceñidoza and the YES Provincial Team, together with the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) officials headed by Herman Basbano and members, Mayor Dan V. Masinsin of Pililla and Lt. Col. Randolph Cabangbang, INF (GSF) Philippine Army Commander, 80th Infantry Batallion, participated in the annual tree planting project entitled "Oplan Broadcastreeing 2016" which planted 5,000 fire trees at Rizal Windfarm, Pililla, Rizal.

STATIC IEC EXHIBIT OF DISASTER EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND VEHICLES - The provincial government of Rizal through the leadership of Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares conducted a Static Exhibit of Disaster Equipment, Materials and Vehicles at the Capitol ground to assess its capabality regarding Disater Risk Reduction Management. Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Calabarzon Regional Director Vicente Tomazar was the guest of honor in the event. Provincial Administrator Joseph Ceñidoza, representing Gov. Ynares and who delivered a message, joined Director Tomazar, DILG Rizal Provincial Director Darrell Dizon and PDRRM Officer Loel Malonzo in opening the exhibit and welcoming the guests and participants.

EARTH DAY 2016

As part of the Philippine Earth Day celebration, the Rizal Provincial Government, Antipolo City Government, United States Embassy and SM Cares, organized a bamboo tree planting activity in Hinulugang Taktak National Park. One thousand (1,000) bamboo saplings were planted as part of the rehabilitation of the said national park. The event was attended by Rizal Vice Governor Frisco San Juan, Jr., US Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Michael Klecheski, SM officials headed by Supermalls President Annie Garcia and other officials.

LAUNCHING OF 54 MW RIZAL WINDFARM

 

Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares was the guest speaker during the launching and ribbon cutting ceremony of the 54MW Pililla Rizal Wind Farm at Barangay Halayhayin, Pililla, Rizal. Also in attendance were Vice-Gov. Frisco San Juan Jr., Mayor Leandro Masikip, Sr. Alternergy President Vincent Perez Jr., DENR Sec. Nereus Acosta, and Major General Romeo Gan of AFP. The renewable energy project in Rizal is seen to provide electricity to more than 66,000 household in the province and nearby areas.

Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares delivered an inspirational message during the tree planting activity at Riverbanks Monterock Compound, Sitio Ibayo, Brgy. Dulong Bayan 1, San Mateo, Rizal. The private sector such as SM Foundation and Monterock Corporation, together with the Municipality of San Mateo headed by Mayor Rafael Diaz, PNP-Rizal headed by OIC,Provincial Director PSSUPT Adriano T. Enong Jr., BFP, Philippine Army, Office of the Civil Defense Regional Office IV-A Director Vicente F. Tomazar, DepEd family and senior citizen’s group all joined the activity. YES RECYCLED CHRISTMAS TREE AWARDING

Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares led the awarding rites for the Recycled Christmas Tree and Recycled Town Hall Façade Décor Contest 2015 held at the Capitol grounds. Local government units were awarded each with garbage truck. Gov. Ynares awarded barangays in the province who were most compliant in Solid Waste Management and Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) with patrol motorcycles. Local chief executives together with Barangay captains and councils accepted the awards and prizes which further boost the YES to Green Program of the provincial government.
